Your business runs well. It just runs on you.

Plenty of good businesses reach the same point: capable team, but too much running through too few people. We build custom software that takes the weight, from back-office systems to business-critical websites.

The pattern

The pattern you might recognise

Your business is working. Revenue is growing, the team is capable. But it only works because a few key people hold it together. And everyone involved knows it.

01

You've become the system

Decisions, context, relationships. Everything flows through you. The business doesn't slow down when you're away. It stops.

02

Hiring doesn't fix it

More people means more coordination, more handoffs. Without the right systems underneath, growth creates complexity, not capacity.

03

Software doesn't stick

You've tried the tools. The team uses them for a while, then drifts back to spreadsheets. Software needs a process underneath it. Without that, nothing sticks.

We build the systems businesses run on.

I’m Joe. I’ve spent 15 years building software for businesses that have outgrown their tools: back-office systems that run the day-to-day, and business-critical websites that carry bookings, quotes or applications for the whole company.

Some clients come to us with the owner in the middle of everything. Others have a capable team held back by an ageing system. Either way, the job is the same: understand how the business actually works, then build software that makes running it better.

What our clients say

We work closely with every client, and most stay with us for years. Here’s what they have to say.

Alpha Labs took an idea, helped us formalise a brief based on what would be realistic within our budget, and then executed it. We now have a highly user-friendly tool we can add to over time.
