Case study Childcare recruitment

The job board was losing candidates: hard to search, harder to apply.

We rebuilt the Tinies job board. Candidates search by town, salary or map, apply once with their CV attached, and every application lands straight in the branch's ATS.

The old site did not record its numbers. This one reports them weekly, per vacancy.

Zero

board wipe-outs, a failed sync now flags the vacancy instead

You will know this one

“Candidates open the jobs page, try one search, and never come back.”

“The application form is so long that people give up halfway through.”

“The sync failed overnight and the whole job board was empty by morning.”

The client

Tinies is a childcare recruiter with branches across England and Scotland, each running its jobs and applicants through an ATS. The old board made searching hard and applying harder, and a failed sync could silently empty it.

What we built

One job board wired into the branches' ATS. Jobs flow out automatically, applications flow back in, and the consultants stay in the tool they already use.

The Tinies job board: map view with salary, job type and role filters
The new board: search by town, filter by salary, see the jobs on a map.
  • Search that finds the job

Town, city or area, salary and hourly rate filters, and a live map view. The jobs are findable however someone looks for them.

  • Built for conversion

One short application with the CV attached. Candidates finish the form instead of giving up halfway.

  • Wired into the ATS

Jobs flow out of the branches' ATS automatically and applications flow straight back in. Consultants never leave the tool they already use.

  • Reliable and visible

A failed sync flags the vacancy instead of wiping the board, and a weekly email reports live jobs and submission rates.

  1. Branch consultant

Post the job in the ATS

    auto publish

The consultant adds a vacancy to the ATS they already use. They never have to touch the website.

  2. Automatic

    The board picks it up

    safe sync

The vacancy appears on the site immediately. A failed sync flags it for correction instead of wiping the board.

  3. Job seeker

    Search like a person

    map view

Town, city or area, salary and hourly rate filters, and a live map. The jobs are findable however someone looks for them.

  4. Job seeker

    One short application

    CV attached

The form is short and the CV goes in with it. No separate email, nothing for the branch to chase.

  5. Automatic

    Back into the ATS

    weekly report flagged fixes

Applications attach to the right vacancy in the ATS. A weekly email shows live jobs, submissions and anything needing a fix.

From the client

“I wanted a credible tech partner focused on driving efficiencies and simplifying the user journey. Joe and his team helped us plan a simplified structure and unpick the nuances of our legacy system. The feedback since going live has been phenomenal, and the whole process has been seamless from start to finish.”

Stu Campbell-Carran Director of Brand, People & Culture, Tinies UK

Is your job board costing you candidates?

If applying takes ten minutes and the CVs arrive by email, candidates are giving up before you ever see them. Thirty minutes. You walk me through how it runs now, and I tell you where the drop-offs are and whether software is the right fix.
